Job Description
About the Role:
As a Senior Software Tester based in Abu Dhabi, you will lead comprehensive testing efforts to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. You will collaborate with development, product, and operations teams to design, implement, and execute test strategies that meet both technical and business requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, document, and execute manual and automated test plans, test cases, and test scripts
- Design and maintain test automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium or similar
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, acceptance criteria, and user stories
- Identify, log, and track defects, working with developers to ensure timely resolution
- Perform performance, load, and stress testing to validate system scalability and reliability
- Analyze test results, generate detailed reports, and present findings to stakeholders
- Ensure traceability of test cases to requirements and maintain test documentation
- Mentor and guide junior testers, promoting best practices and continuous improvement
Required Qualifications:
- 6–10 years of hands-on experience in software testing, including both manual and automated testing
- Strong proficiency with automation tools such as Selenium, QTP/UFT, or equivalent
- Solid understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Experience in performance testing using JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar tools
- Proficiency in writing SQL queries and scripting (Python, JavaScript, or Shell)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and lead testing efforts in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- ISTQB or equivalent professional certification
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or REST Assured
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and cloud-based testing
- Experience in mobile application testing (iOS and Android)
- Previous experience leading QA/testing teams or projects
