About the Role:
We are seeking a seasoned Techno Functional Lead for Retail Operations & Planning to join our dynamic team in Dubai. In this role, you will bridge the gap between business requirements and technical solutions, driving end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementations for retail clients. You will lead cross-functional teams, deliver tailored configuration, and ensure seamless integration with existing ERP landscapes. Your expertise will be pivotal in optimizing retail supply chain, merchandising, and planning processes while maintaining high standards of quality and on-time delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Lead full lifecycle SAP S/4HANA implementations for retail operations and planning modules
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Design and configure SAP solutions, including Retail, MM, SD, and PP modules, tailored to client needs
- Oversee data migration, integration, and system testing activities to ensure data integrity and performance
- Provide functional and technical guidance to project teams, including developers, analysts, and consultants
- Develop project plans, monitor progress, manage risks, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery
- Conduct user training sessions and prepare documentation to enable smooth post-go-live support
- Act as primary point of contact for client escalations and change requests
- Continuously identify process improvements and best practices to enhance retail operations efficiency
Required Qualifications:
- 12–20 years of proven experience in SAP ERP implementation, with a focus on S/4HANA
- Strong technical expertise in SAP S/4HANA configuration, customization, and integration
- In-depth knowledge of retail operations, merchandising, supply chain, and planning processes
- Hands-on experience with SAP modules such as MM, SD, PP, and Retail
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder expectations
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Experience in end-to-end project management, including budgeting, resource planning, and risk management
- Willingness to work on-site in Dubai with occasional regional travel
Preferred Qualifications:
- SAP S/4HANA certification and relevant module certifications
- Experience working in the GCC retail sector or UAE market
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools
- Background in integration technologies (IDoc, EDI, APIs)
- Advanced stakeholder management skills and change management experience
- Fluency in English; Arabic proficiency is a plus
- Leadership or PMP certification
