Job Description
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect – DevOps based in Dammam to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of cloud-native solutions. You will leverage your expertise in solution architecture, DevOps practices, and Google Cloud Platform to drive automation, ensure system reliability, and guide cross-functional teams in delivering scalable, secure, and high-performance applications.
Responsibilities:
- Design and document end-to-end solution architectures aligned with business requirements
- Lead the implementation of DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automated testing
- Architect and deploy scalable, secure, and resilient environments on Google Cloud Platform
- Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to define requirements and best practices
- Develop and maintain automation scripts for provisioning, configuration, and monitoring
- Perform architecture reviews and code reviews to ensure adherence to standards and best practices
- Troubleshoot complex system issues and provide actionable recommendations
- Mentor and coach team members on DevOps methodologies and cloud architecture principles
Required Qualifications:
- 7–10 years of hands-on experience as a Solution Architect or DevOps Architect
- Proven expertise in solution architecture and technical design patterns
- Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform services and architecture
- Deep understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD tooling, and infrastructure as code
- Proficiency in scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, Bash)
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- GCP Professional Cloud Architect or DevOps Engineer certification
- Experience with multi-cloud architectures (AWS, Azure)
- Hands-on experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Stackdriver)
- Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks in cloud environments
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
- Prior experience in the Middle East or knowledge of regional IT regulations
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of mentoring technical teams
