SME Blockchain & Cybersecurity

About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned Subject Matter Expert in Blockchain & Cybersecurity to join our team in Dubai. This role will drive the design, implementation, and governance of secure blockchain solutions and digital asset trading platforms, ensuring the integrity and compliance of our cryptocurrency exchange operations.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the architecture and security design of blockchain networks and smart contracts
• Conduct risk assessments and penetration tests on cryptocurrency ecosystems and digital asset exchanges
• Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures for CEX and trading platforms
• Collaborate with development, operations, and compliance teams to integrate security controls throughout the software development lifecycle
• Monitor emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and regulatory changes in blockchain and cybersecurity domains
• Oversee incident response planning, forensics, and remediation for cyber and blockchain security events
• Provide technical guidance and training to internal stakeholders on blockchain security best practices
• Engage with external auditors, regulators, and partners to ensure compliance with industry standards

Required Qualifications:

• 5–10 years of hands-on experience in blockchain architecture and cybersecurity
• Proven expertise in blockchain platforms (e.g., Ethereum, Hyperledger) and smart contract security
• Deep understanding of cryptocurrency ecosystems, digital asset exchanges, trading platforms, and CEX operations
• Strong knowledge of cryptography, key management, consensus algorithms, and secure software development
• Experience conducting security assessments, penetration tests, and vulnerability management
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., KYC/AML, GDPR)
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Security, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degree (MSc or MBA) with focus on blockchain or cybersecurity
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or Certified Blockchain Security Professional
• Experience with decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols and cross-chain interoperability
• Hands-on experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) in blockchain deployments
• Knowledge of identity and access management solutions for digital asset platforms
• Previous work experience in a regulated financial or exchange environment
