Key Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance of HV substations and associated electrical equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults in substations and high-voltage systems.
Conduct inspections and testing of electrical components and systems to identify defects and prevent failures.
Monitor the performance and condition of HV substations and report abnormalities.
Operate and manage electrical systems during planned and unplanned outages to minimize downtime.
Support emergency maintenance and fault restoration activities.
Conduct risk assessments and implement appropriate safety measures.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance, inspections, repairs, and emergency incidents.
Prepare reports on the condition and performance of substations and related systems.
Recommend improvements to maintenance procedures and operational practices.
Ensure all work complies with applicable electrical safety standards, regulations, and O&M procedures.
Candidate Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
Relevant experience in HV electrical systems, substations, and electrical maintenance.
Experience troubleshooting and repairing complex electrical systems.
Strong technical understanding of high-voltage equipment and components.
Ability to diagnose and resolve electrical faults efficiently.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently as well as within an O&M team.
