Job Description
About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer based in Dubai to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of our cloud and on-premise infrastructure. You will work closely with development and operations teams to build scalable, reliable, and secure CI/CD pipelines, container platforms, and automation frameworks that support our fast-paced delivery cycle.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for multiple application stacks
- Develop and manage containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration in AWS, Azure, and on-premise data centers
- Write and maintain scripts in Bash and Python to streamline operational tasks
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure system reliability
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance, scalability, and security issues
- Collaborate with software engineers, QA, and security teams to drive DevOps best practices
- Conduct system architecture reviews and recommend improvements to achieve high availability and disaster recovery
Required Qualifications:
- 5–8 years of experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering roles
- Expertise in Bash scripting and Python programming
- Proven experience with Docker and container orchestration using Kubernetes
- Hands-on experience deploying and managing infrastructure on AWS and Azure
- Strong knowledge of on-premise server and network management
- Solid understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent
- Experience with infrastructure as code principles and tools
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and mentor junior engineers
Preferred Qualifications:
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert certification
- Experience with Terraform, Ansible, or other IaC/configuration management tools
- Familiarity with security best practices and compliance frameworks
- Background in performance tuning and capacity planning
- Strong communication skills and experience working in agile teams
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack
