SCADA Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced SCADA Engineer to join our team in Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will design, configure, and commission Siemens-based SCADA systems, lead FAT and SAT activities, troubleshoot complex control systems, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure reliable and efficient operation of industrial automation projects.

Responsibilities:

• Design and configure SCADA systems using Siemens platforms (Simatic WinCC, PCS7)
• Develop and execute Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT)
• Lead on-site commissioning activities and system integration
• Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis of SCADA hardware, software, and network issues
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, and multidisciplinary teams to define system requirements
• Create and maintain technical documentation, schematics, and operation manuals
• Provide technical support and training to operations and maintenance personnel
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field
• 4-8 years of hands-on experience in SCADA engineering and commissioning
• Proficiency in Siemens SCADA platforms (Simatic WinCC, PCS7)
• Demonstrated experience in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and commissioning activities
• Strong troubleshooting skills for industrial control systems and network communications
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (OPC, Modbus, Profibus)
• Excellent communication skills in English

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional certification in SCADA or Siemens automation technologies
• Experience in oil & gas or petrochemical industry projects
• Familiarity with cybersecurity standards for industrial control systems (IEC 62443)
• Proficiency in Arabic language
• Experience with project management and client-facing responsibilities
• Knowledge of alternative SCADA platforms (Wonderware, GE iFix)
