About the Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic Tour Guide based in Kerala to lead and inspire visitors through the state’s rich cultural heritage, natural landscapes, and vibrant traditions. The ideal candidate will utilize strong communication and interpersonal skills to deliver engaging, informative, and memorable experiences for small to medium-sized groups.
Responsibilities:
Plan and conduct guided tours to key destinations across Kerala, including backwaters, hill stations, and cultural sites
Provide accurate and engaging commentary on the history, culture, flora, and fauna of each location
Ensure the safety and well-being of all tour participants, adhering to local regulations and best practices
Coordinate logistics such as transportation, accommodation, and meal arrangements in collaboration with vendors
Respond promptly to guest inquiries, requests, and feedback during tours to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
Develop and maintain up-to-date knowledge of local events, festivals, and new attractions to enhance tour offerings
Manage group dynamics to foster an inclusive, respectful, and enjoyable atmosphere for all participants
Required Qualifications:
2–6 years of professional tour guiding experience
Fluent in English and Malayalam, with the ability to interpret and translate local terminology
Strong knowledge of Kerala’s geography, history, culture, and major tourist attractions
Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills
Proven customer service skills, with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction
Outstanding interpersonal skills, including empathy, patience, and adaptability
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in tour guiding, hospitality management, or related field
Proficiency in additional languages (e.g., Hindi, Tamil, French)
First aid and CPR certification
Experience organizing customized or specialized tours (e.g., eco-tours, cultural immersion)
Familiarity with digital tools for itinerary planning and guest communication
