Job Details:

Role: Associate Engineer Core Network Maintenance

Employment Type: 1 year & extendable contract (long term), outsourced through TASC for one of the largest telecom companies

Work location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

Notice Period: Immediate joiners to a maximum of 30 days of notice

Required Experience

4-6 years experience in field operation and maintenance of Telecom networks (Transport, IP Switching, Mobile) networks
Bachelor’s/ Degree/Diploma in Engineering/ Telecommunications/ Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Handle Fixed Network Operation & Maintenance activities in Traffic (Provision, Cessations, Re-routing), network failures due to traffic & Hardware, network Planned outages/hazardous, network hardware inventory & associated fixed asset, network hardware repair & return process.
Attends, analyzes, and clears faults reported by NOC’s. Furthermore, informs the major faults to superiors for review.
Assists in locating and clearing Junction F.O Cable Network faults. Attends assigned duties including call-out/emergencies.
To be able to use craft terminal/test equipment to access & localize faults.
Maintains and updates records in section DB.
Demonstrates initiative in updating knowledge and skills in respect of the new equipment technology introduced to core networks.
Attend ATP for New Nodes and Expansion in Network and clear ACL from the perspective of Maintenance Team.
Responsible for the Acceptance of Newly installed ODF’s and Junction Cables in The Network.
Relevant certifications would be advantageous
